Resetting your password
If you’ve forgotten your password or want to change it as a precaution, SynkriaOps offers two procedures: email reset (when you’re not signed in) and password change from settings (when you’re already signed in).
Reset from the sign-in page
Section titled “Reset from the sign-in page”You go to app.synkriaops.com and don’t remember your password.
-
On the sign-in page, click “Forgot your password?” below the form.
-
Enter your email address (the one associated with your SynkriaOps account).
-
Click “Send reset link”.
-
Open your email inbox — you’ll receive a message from
noreply@synkriaops.comwithin 5 minutes with the subject “Reset your SynkriaOps password”. -
Click the “Reset my password” button in the email. This link is valid for 1 hour.
-
Enter your new password in the form (minimum 8 characters).
-
Confirm the password in the confirmation field.
-
Click “Save”. You are automatically signed in to your tenant.
New password requirements
Section titled “New password requirements”To ensure the security of your account, the new password must meet these rules:
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Minimum length | 8 characters |
| Allowed characters | Letters, numbers, symbols (!@#$%^&*) |
| Prohibited | Same as your current password |
SynkriaOps doesn’t enforce mandatory rotation, but it’s recommended to change your password every 6 months and immediately if you suspect a compromise.
Changing your password without a reset (while signed in)
Section titled “Changing your password without a reset (while signed in)”You want to update your password as a precaution, without having to sign out and go through the reset flow.
-
Click your avatar in the top right of the header.
-
Select “Account settings”.
-
In the Security section, click “Change password”.
-
Enter your current password (to confirm your identity).
-
Enter the new password.
-
Confirm the new password.
-
Click “Save”.
The change is immediate. Your other active sessions on other devices are not automatically signed out — if you want to invalidate them, use Managing active sessions.
What to do if the reset doesn’t work
Section titled “What to do if the reset doesn’t work”The link has expired
Section titled “The link has expired”The reset link is valid for 1 hour. If you open it after that delay, you’ll see a “This link has expired” message. Restart the procedure from app.synkriaops.com — a new link will be generated.
I’m not receiving the email
Section titled “I’m not receiving the email”- Verify you’re using the correct email address (the one you were invited with, not necessarily your primary email). 2. Check your Spam and Promotions folders. 3. Wait up to 10 minutes in case of email server delays. 4. If you still haven’t received anything, contact your SynkriaOps administrator — they can verify the email address associated with your account.
The link opens a 404 error
Section titled “The link opens a 404 error”This happens if you clicked “Send link” several times — only the last link sent is valid. Previous links are automatically invalidated.
